  • IT’S HONOR BAND AUDITION TIME!
  • FOR SOME ELEMENTARY & MIDDLE SCHOOLERS — learn your music, submit a “performance video” and you’re in!
  • BELOW IS THE SHORT LIST OF INFORMATION REGARDING HONOR BAND ACCEPTANCE
  • IF YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR SON OR DAUGHTER TO RECORD & SUBMIT AUDITIONS FOR HONOR BAND — PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP AS THE CALIF ALL STATE (CBDA) IS DUE ON DECEMBER 1ST.
  • WITH THANKSGIVING NIPPING ON OUR HEELS, WE NEED TO FASTRACK APPS & GETTING RECORDINGS DONE!
  • BAND DIRECTORS MUST BE MEMBERS OF EITHER CBDA OR SCSBOA (OR BOTH).
      • IF YOUR BAND DIRECTOR IS NOT A MEMBER OF THE SCSBOA, I AM AND YOU CAN USE MY SCSBOA MEMBER NUMBER ON THE FORM.
  • I MAY OR MAY NOT WORK OVER THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY AND I’M SURE FAMILIES WANT TO RELAX DURING THAT TIME, SO IT’S “GO TIME!”
  • CBDA – ALL RECORDINGS DUE BY DEC 1st by 11:59pm
  • SCSBOA JAZZ – ALL RECORDINGS DUE BY DEC 1st by 11:59pm
  • SCSBOA ELEMENTARY/MIDDLE SCHOOL VIDEOS DUE BY: Friday, December 10th at 11:59 PM. No late entries will be accepted.

I have done my best to put together an overview of the TWO honor band entities’ (CBDA & SCSBOA) honor band information and procedures. If I have missed anything — PLEASE let me know so I can share the information.

With some discrepancies on whether auditions are audio or video may not be clear on some of these websites, please let me know and I will check in with the proper person to find out more information.

In the past the rehearsals & concerts were at the convention center in Anaheim (near Disneyland).

PARTICIPATION FORMS. STUDENTS MUST SIGN UP, SUBMIT TO THEIR BAND DIRECTORS. BAND DIRECTORS WILL THEN CREATE A PORTAL FOR STUDENTS TO UPLOAD THEIR RECORDINGS:
