- Metronome = 60 bpm (opt 70 bpm)
- Start from a whisper (minimal air) – then hold for 4 beats, then crescend – and get to 30db (decibels) then decrescendo until it fades out

- WARM UP > play whole notes on the first 5 notes. Repeat 4 times. Set the metronome to 66bpm

- Don’t forget the repeats > helps with muscle memory.

- Play the following major scales the full range of your instrument: Ab, G and D Major and a chromatic scale one octave.
- Prepare a short classical etude demonstrating your technical ability on your instrument.
- Play the tune “Tenor Madness” and prepare two choruses of a 12 bar Bb blues solo using transcribed licks from a single or several legendary Jazz artists on your instrument. (Tenor Madness Lead-sheet Folder HERE)
