As of JUNE 2021

** ALL LINKS IN BLUE are WEBPAGE LINKS

Dear Clients,

  • CLASS OF 2021
      • First off, I want to congratulate all my students that are seniors and will be graduating next week!!
      • Many of you have been with me as early as elementary and/or middle school and I loved seeing you start off shorter than myself in height and then towering over me by high school! I also express such joy in seeing you all grow in your musical talent(s) and my hopes are that you do not leave your instrument in the closet or under your bed, but take it with you to college and get in the school’s band program for “non-music majors” or the city’s local community band. It can be the one class in your week that gives you joy and relieves the pressure of high level of learning and you might be surprised to find out you are the best musician in your section!!
      • With those of you graduating, I like to say that I will never say good-bye — but hope you’ll touch base with me when you’re in town and go out for coffee or lunch sometime! I am still in touch with many students from year’s past!
      • LESSONS WHILE AT COLLEGE — If your son or daughter wants to take lessons over zoom from college, then let’s do it! Might be fun for them to keep lessons going even if it’s only a few times a month if they only have time for a lesson and not be involved in a band.
      • SO AGAIN — I WANT TO SAY — CONGRATULATIONS to all my graduating students! You’ve all turned out to be such wonderful young men and women and I wish you all the best!

  • FOR ALL MY STUDENTS AND CLIENTS

      • Thank you for another great school year and I do hope you are all happy with the results and progress your children have made with the help of music lessons over the internet doing the best we could!
      • With the end of the year coming up next week and the finish line in sight, I want to communicate how the summer music lesson schedule will change. Read more below . . .

  • SUMMER SCHEDULE

      • Starting on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, I will be switching to my “summer schedule” and will be posting the daily schedule update online.
      • This means For returning students/clients the school year lesson times are locked in for the upcoming 2021-2022 fall school session.
      • ALSO – no lessons from Friday to Sunday. Read more below.

  • NO MUSIC LESSONS ON FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY

      • My student load reduces greatly over the summer, so I am consolidating my schedule to Monday-Thursdays.
      • Since school will be out, many students can take lessons in the morning/late morning & early afternoon!

  • LESSONS BY APPOINTMENT
      • Those who cannot keep a consistent scheduled lesson time, I recommend scheduling lesson “by appointment” on a “week to week” basis. I will have many openings and I may be flexible to take a student in a time slot that says “on hold” or “by request” – even some weekends when I will be in town on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
      • You can then check the “DAILY SCHEDULE link for lesson openings, then email me to book a time.
      • As time slots fill up – I will add more openings.
      • If you want to request a lesson at a time that works for you, email me. If I’m in town, I will do my best to accommodate a lesson time!
      • Any lessons that need to be canceled, please notify me ONLY THE WEEK BEFORE  your plans come up.  Any more notice than that gets lost in old emails.

  • JUST A FEW FACTS, RULES AND POLICY UPDATE:
      • Students who do not plan to take lessons all summer, your school year lesson time may be offered up to a student who is consistent all summer.
      • I recommend students try to take lessons at least 2-3 times a month to fully secure their fall season time slot.
      • MUSIC LESSONS ON THE ROAD
          • If your son/daughter is traveling and can take their instrument, we can always have lessons over the internet! This counts towards the 2-3 lessons a month!
          • Make sure they travel with their books, but if they forget to do that it only takes a minute for me to scan and send the PDF music via text, email or on their practice page.
          • Just make sure you take an iPad or laptop that is big enough for them to read off of.
      • This policy change will also apply to students who in this past year missed lessons without notice and/or canceled often, which I am glad to say doesn’t apply to any of my students/clients this year.

  • AUGUST 18, 2021 – FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

      • School starts back up on August 18, 2021 and lessons might start up sooner as many high schools have their “chair placement” auditions a few days after the first day of school, so I will be around to help them prep for that!
