SCSBOA JAZZ HONOR BAND 2025 > LINK

  • 6/24 – SWING ETUDE > CLAP AND COUNT. Working on 8th & triplet rhythms.
  • IMPROV – F BLUES:  Record 2-4 solo choruses of F Blues using the changes provided on the SCSBOA website.
      • This can be recorded with a live rhythm section of your choice or using the play-a-long
        recording, but it must be accompanied. Tempo should be approximately 1/4 note=120 bpm and
        played in the swing style.
  • CHROMATIC SCALE:
      • Play your chromatic scale (1/8th notes @ 100 bpm or faster) from your lowest to highest
        comfortable note. This should be played in a legato style (slurred) all the way up and
        down.
